Plot: When it seems as though war may be imminent, a group of Hollywood actors and behind-the-scenes crew, including writer Vince Tucker (Chris Lemmon), enlist in the National Guard. Once in training, Tucker and his friends are subjected to rigorous exercises under the unforgiving instruction of Col. Archer (Lloyd Bridges) and Sgt. Burge (Vic Tayback).
