Plot: This title due to video quality(Fair to Good Quality) and audio quality(Excellent) is
Sold As Is(No refunds). It is intented for purchase by only true lovers of
classic movies such as this cinematic gem classic by Otto Preminger regardless
of the video quality just to have this title in their collection is satisfying(this
transfer is by far the best video quality for this title. Transferred from a
16mm master in the studio archive which the master is just sitting in the
studio archive just deteriorating and there no plans for it ever be remastered
and put to dvd/blu-ray).
 This musical drama focuses on the poverty-stricken residents struggling to
survive in the Charleston tenement of Catfish Row. The sultry Bess (Dorothy Dandridge) becomes the object of desire of Porgy (Sidney Poitier), a disabled
man who gets around in a cart. But Bess is also involved with thuggish Crown
(Brock Peters) and drug dealer Sportin’ Life (Sammy Davis Jr.). Crown kills a
man and goes into hiding, and Bess seeks shelter with Porgy. But, when
Crown returns, Porgy must take a stand.
